Defining who we are is not that easy! We are not a denomination, and neither do we have any intentions to start one. The best description is to say that we are a group of believers who have been led by the Lord to exit the institutional church in order to follow a path less travelled.
We do seek to be faithful to the scriptures, and the ancient creeds that form the historical foundation of our faith. We wish to be responsive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and to acknowledge the body of Christ in all its diversity.
Most of us have been following the Lord for twenty years or more, and have until recently been part of the denominational church structure. Many of us have been involved in leadership, and all have been active in Christian service of one type or another. You could say we have been around long enough to be confident of one thing - we don’t know it all.
What we do know is that God is looking to do something new in our midst. While it touches structure, it is more than simply changing the way we meet together. It is new expression of our faith based on smaller relational communities linked organically rather than organisationally.
